Founded in 1951, the Joint Commission seeks to continuously improve the safety and quality of care provided to the public. The Joint Commission achieves this through healthcare accreditation and related services that support performance improvement in healthcare organizations and programs in the United States, including more than 20,000 hospitals and home-care organizations, and assisted-living, behavioral healthcare, laboratory and ambulatory care services. The Joint Commission also accredits health plans, integrated delivery networks and other managed care programs; as well as primary stroke centers and other healthcare staffing services. An independent, not-for-profit organization, the Joint Commission is the nation’s oldest and largest standard setting and accrediting body in healthcare.
Staffing firms are certified by the Joint Commission if their ability to provide competent staffing services and evaluations of performance, continued education and training, placement criteria and other areas meet or over exceed the standards within leadership, human resource management, performance measurement, and improvement and information management.

SHRM is a membership organization comprised of human resource professionals. Health Providers Choice has been a member of SHRM since 2002, which gives us access to information and resources regarding HR, in addition to networking opportunities.
Health Providers Choice (HPC) has been a member of ASHHRA since 2002. ASHRRA is a membership organization designed to service human resource professionals in the health care field. As a member, HPC gets access to publications, conferences, and webinars to further educate themselves in health care HR; opportunities to network and share knowledge with fellow members and professionals; a multitude of tools and resources; and access to the member benefits of the American Hospital Association website.
