HPC Is Part of the Community
Choosing which travel nursing agency to work with can be about as easy as deciding how to order your gourmet coffee in the morning — so many choices! Your decision comes down to what you and your facility value most. At Health Providers Choice, we live and breathe by our five guiding principles.
These principles lead each business, hiring, and placement decision we make. Because they are at the heart of what we do, you can be assured that if these values are important to you as well, you will find in us an ideal partner. Because these values are at the forefront of our minds, we believe strongly in being part of the communities we serve. The importance of giving back is so ingrained in our process that we contribute regularly to nonprofits such as the Anthony Wayne Society, Friends for Foster Kids, and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Nurses 4 Detroit
Since 2012, we have been actively involved in an organization called Nurses 4 Detroit (N4D). Co-run by HPC President Rose Torrento, N4D has been developing a dynamic movement in the City of Detroit by assisting those who need medical care and guidance. As nurses, we feel we are uniquely prepared to handle care holistically and compassionately. HPC nurses and administrative staff in and around the Detroit area have volunteered with N4D with the goal of bringing the city back to its original luster — and bringing residents back to better health. HPC and N4D have a shared goal: Inspire members of the population to improve their lives through health education and wellness, neighborhood by neighborhood. Ideally, this will be hailed as a national model. For now, we are focusing our efforts on Detroit. At HPC, we believe that being a nurse and health care provider means more than showing up for clinicals. Our nurses are tenacious, and they are connected to the people they serve. We encourage community health through community work.
